December 26th

Our Christmas was great...good food, a nice bike ride, a long nap, kisses under the mistletoe  and a few phone calls to family and friends. What could be better than that? We did pick up a little of the aftermath today and filled the cans again with wrapping that was ripped away much too fast. It took so long to shop and buy and wrap and then within 15 minutes it is through! Crazy!!! This year I made the kids open one present at a time and then wait for their turn as they sat patiently waiting for their brother or sister to finish. I love the season and love the time together between Christmas and New Years just hanging out with the kids playing and relaxing.
p.s. Congratulations in a BIG way to Spencer and Alli! Nothing is nicer than a new baby! They will be fantastic parents...and please have the baby on my birthday,it would make my day. Love to you two.

Merry Christmas Eve

I just might be the worlds worst blogger. I haven't "blogged" since November 30th...oh well, how time flies! Here are some random thoughts...It is 1:30 a.m. and I just finished making 5 huge cheese balls for my friends and neighbors. I also learned a few new things about our new computer tonight  since I never have time to figure things, I waited until midnight and jumped at the chance to learn how to make videos, etc. I can't believe that I have to run out and buy two more things in about 7 hours...I haven't started wrapping yet...I am not sick of Christmas music yet, nor will I ever be, I love it! (except that song on the radio about the mom dying and the kid buying shoes for her so she can have shoes on when she dies..SICK of that one, every time I get in the car it is on, I am so done with it!) anyhow, I am still looking for my "It's a wonderful life"DVD so I can torment Sean while I wrap gifts..I love that movie and he's not too fond of it. But, she who wraps gets to choose the movie,Right??? Happy Christmas Eve.

Happy December...almost!

I must admit that we had to turn on our furnace today! (November 30th. )I wanted to see if we could make it until December 1st but it was a little too chilly this morning. It will warm up to only 59 or 60 degrees today and people around here think they are FREEZING TO DEATH!!! Sean got out to get gas in Elko, and it was 12 degrees. Yes, he was wearing shorts and short sleeves. Utah was freezing as well last week; I will take 59 over 30 any day.

Happy Halloween Eve

Sam wanted to be a member of a rock band for Halloween...I made him Paul Stanley from "KISS". He loved it and nobody knew it was him under the disguise! This might be his alter-ego!? Who knows? He had fun with it.

Got Goals?

O.K., Patrick plays tonight for the Boys under 14 championship. I must admit that I am a little bit nervous...Sean is the coach and the opposing team came back to beat the team ranked #1. I think we are 3rd?!? Anyway, I know Patrick can get a few goals and hopefully Sean won't yell too much or die of a heart attack! Go Lightening!!!

Happy Birthday, Sean!

Thanks for the great weekend with the kids. Thanks for turning 38 and spending your birthday weekend with us. It was an unbelievable amount of fun and laughter and definitely a birthday to remember. I love you and all you do for me and the monkeys, too.
P.S. The ride on the Ranger wasn't THAT scary! When I got out to shoot this photo...I should have stayed out. Next time I will be ready!

Welcome to Lodi

Hannah had a photo project due last week and we had to take many pictures of all of the fantastic things that Lodi has to offer. Here she is near one of the welcome signs and the other photo I like to title "Pick a winery, any winery." I know more about wine now than I ever thought I would!!!

He was a super fast worker and every time we open a door now we hear from someone," Spencer hung that door!" Thanks, for coming you two, we love having company and appreciate all of your help!!!

Grape Festival Murals

All of these murals are done with grapes of all different varities. The theme for 2007 was "American Heros", I loved it. I can't believe the time people spend making these amazing works of art! Come to Lodi in September...The festival is Huge, plus, it is harvest time! I never thought in all my life that I would know so much about making wine.

Blog on the backburner!

Every day I want to write or post something creative or fun or some crazy story about the kids...or Sean, but I seriously have no time! I thought about it last night as we were helping Patrick with social studies homework at 11:00 p.m.,but once again I chose sleep over blogging. Now I am off to p/u Georgia, who will be 6 years old tomorrow, from school. I will post some party and cake pictures then.

Hannah

Yep...her team is called the "Lavender Fireflies". She is on fire! She has to watch her elbowing technique that she learned from playing with the brothers...she's tough.

1st field trip

We went to the Children's museum in Stockton and had a great time. I had never been there before so it turned out to be a worthwhile field trip. Georgia loved it! Here she is with two friends, both named Madison.

Georgia lost two teeth!

That's right, this little, almost six year old has finally lost two teeth within twenty-four hours of each other. Now she has a window in her mouth and is pretty excited for show and tell tomorrow. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for a few minutes during kindergarten hours!!!That would be hilarious. Who knows how many family stories she has already shared? The tooth fairy better be ready! She wrote her a letter,a sort of questionnaire type letter and asked for the tooth fairy to write back. Looks like I have another late night.

Barbeque chips

O.k., I have to admit that I rarely eat potato chips but Georgia and I were eating lunch and I grabbed a handful of barbecue chips and they were sooo yummy! I haven't eaten them for a long time and now I know why, I could become an addict.Kind of like Lindsay Lohan with her drug addiction but different. Mine would be a chip addiction. Tortilla chips have to be my main food group, with salsa of course. I think I have made it at least 3 times this week with my overflowing supply of tomatoes. My salsa rocks! I have a few different varieties now and I am sure that I completely survive on chips and salsa.Every now and then I would throw in a handful of barbecue chips. Long, live chips!

Happy Anniversary to you!

Happy Anniversary to John and Andrea(Connor too)Has it really been 5 years? Wow,time goes too fast. I hope you get a chance to celebrate. XOXO-Suzi

Tomorrow is the big Day!!!

Yes, we all know that tomorrow the 17th is the Premier of High School Musical 2. Let's just say that it is pure pandemonium around here. Hannah's friend is actually having a party to celebrate this long awaited event. The girls can hardly wait. I am so glad because now Georgia will stop asking me "how many more days until..." But, will she fall asleep or actually sit through it? That is the question.

Santa Cruz Saturday

Minus Patrick and me...I am now the photographer. Sean often steals my photos and puts them on his blog before I have a chance to even see them.

Three on the beach

After Sam's soccer tourney we headed to the beach for a minute. A little cold for us. (Notice the sweatshirts, that is Northern Calif.) Patrick was with the Church Kids waterskiing.

Gracie's long lost cousins?

Georgia found a few friends in Santa Cruz. She was sure that they were related to Gracie!

Where does time go?

I can't believe that we are already in the MIDDLE of August, time flies. I swear, the kids just got out of school and now we are right in the middle of the third week of another school year, with buckets of homework, soccer practice every night, not to mention scouts, Church activities, more stinkin' homework and a 7th grader that has to wake up at 6:00 a.m. to catch a 7:15 a.m. bus. This is why time flies! Plus, I hate getting up early...when I am tired, which is pretty much all of the time,I just fake "not" being tired a lot. I like it usually once I am up and it is just me and Patrick(because we all know that Sean is still snoozing until the next group wakes up)and we can enjoy the quiet for a moment, read the paper, start another load of laundry or just drink hot chocolate, Patrick does this often. So, I guess I do like the early morning after all. I better head off to bed so that once again I can turn off the alarm and jump out of bed at 6:00a.m., and maybe time will slow down a little bit tomorrow.

Charlotte

This one is for you, Doug!!! She has been hanging around in my garden for quite sometime just minding her own business. The kids love the web and don't want to break it or harm it in any way. I say good riddance! Get thee hence...I need to pick the tomatoes. I picked 13 romas today and 31 cherry tomatoes...yummy!!!
